| I'd go for a VAXstation 3100 model 38. It runs VMS. It does great graphics.
You can use LOTUS 123/V on it. And with DECpresent and DECwrite, you can do
pretty good slides and documents. An LJ250 can be plugged into it. And, if
you are worried about system management, look into DESKtop-VMS, a user-
friendly VMS.

Jeff, thanks for the quick response and the very useful information!!!
I am not very familiar with DECpresent and DECwrite. Where can I get
more information about them? And as far as printing slides is
concerned, can the LJ250 handle the job? I know it does a good job on
papers, but how about on "plastics"?
regards,

The LJ250 can do the slides with no problem.
DECpresent and DECwrite each have their own notesfiles.
DECpresent QUEEN::DECPRESENT 2577
DECwrite (was EPIC) QUEEN::DECWRITE 1474
I'd suggest that if you use the above, taking a course in DECwrite will
help you get the most out of it. There is a learning curve that doesn't
take very long but is fairly detailed.

I got into QUEEN::DECPRESENT and looked at it. It seems to have a lot
of useful information. I think it will get me started. Thanks for the
quick reference!
If someone has other suggestions, please feel free to jump in. I would
definitely appreciate them.
