| The SPX is 1280X1024. Therefore it is a 100DPI screen. I thought for sure that
the large font's would do it. (100DPI). I use the 75DPI so I can fit more
on the screen.
Just try running ICO in DECW$EXAMPLES: $ ICO -faces -colors red green blue
Also, once the V5.4 kit becomes available, you'll notice dramatic increases
in text, triangle, and overall performance. This thing is a fabulous
graphics engine.

| There is something funny about the DECterm fonts...I think maybe there is only
one set of them that gets used for both 100 and 75 dpi. In any case, my
experience is that you can never get terminal emulators to look the same on both
75 and 100dpi screens. As Jeff says, I prefer to run it at 75dpi because I can
fit more on the screen. Of course, I have relatively good eyes.

Yes, the same fonts are used on both 75 and 100 dpi; only the font names are
changed. The Big Font on a 100 dpi system is roughly the same physical size
as the Little Font on a 75 dpi:
75 dpi 100 dpi
Little Font 14 pixels 140 decipoints 100 decipoints
Big Font 18 pixels 180 decipoints 140 decipoints
(1 decipoint = 1/720 of an inch).
In DECwindows V1, DECterm asked for 140 and 180 decipoints. This meant
that on 100 dpi systems you could only get the 18 pixel font (because the
font search path checked the 100 dpi font directory and then checked the
75 dpi font directory). In DECwindows V2, DECterm asks for 14 and 18 pixels,
so that you get two distinct font sizes on both 75 dpi and 100 dpi systems.
