I have a VSII that I have automatically come up with the following applications at login time: 2 decterms clock calendar fileview This is the first time I tried to have these automatically come up. When they were coming up upon login, the system crashed with a bugcheck that says: NOSHMGSD, No shared memory global section dsc found for page. Since I have quite a few things being started, should I increase something, such as global sections or something else so this won't happen. The VSII is running with 9 meg of memory. mc

I have never seen that problem before. Anyone who could help you would need at least the SHOW CRASH and SHOW STACK info from the dump, most likely the dump itself. This is a sufficiently serious and sufficiently unambiguously a bug that you should QAR it. Please include the VMS version, and tell whether it is reproducible. Also if you put the dump somewhere where the QAR answerer can copy it, that would be helpful. Burns |
