A customer of mine expirienced this problem(s) with VMS 5.3 and
DECWindows 2.0 on a M3200 with 8 MB :
1. using PRINT PORTION OF SCREEN and immediately clicking the mouse
button while the cursor is in "clock state" crashes the session
manager or the whole system. I can't reproduce this on my V3100
with 20 MB.
2. pressing HOLD SCREEN or CONTROL S does not hold output at once.
An unpredictable amount of lines slips through. He (the customer)
don't want to use the vertical scroll bar with the mouse. :-(
3. the CAPTURE PORTION OF SCREEN to sixel file results in a poor
quality output when printing on a LJ250.
Does anybody know something about these subjects ?

Please file a QAR on this. Use the DECWINDOWS-IFT database on node
TRIFID. You might try a "dir component decwprintscr" to see if this
has been previously reported.

This has been extensively discussed in the DECterm conference on
HANNAH. You may be able to get more responsive hold screen behavior
by adjusting the number of batch scrolling lines under the
Customize/Display dialog box.

This is a known problem caused whenever printscreen tries to scale
the image to better fit on the paper. There is an option to disable
scaling in the V5.3 session manager, but it apparently doesn't work.
There is a patch available via CSSE/CSCs that allows you do get
scaling disabled.
