    We've just taken delivery of a DECstation 5000. One of the applications
    I've run in the past on the DECstation 3100 uses 250 colours. Using
    the 5000 the same application only uses 69 colours.  If I set display
    to the  3100 it uses 250 colours. This suggests to me that I need
    to alter some set-up parameter for the X-Server. Do any of you Ultrix
    people know how to get round this?

	I'm not sure if this is your problem, but by default the session manager initializes the DPS extension with 128 colors. You can disable this by setting: XSessionManager*initializeDPS: False in your root /.Xdefaults file. Ken
