Firstly, thanks for taking the trouble to read this note... I'm not sure if my question falls into the "is / is not what this conference is about" category but I'm going to risk it! Secondly, a brief intro. : Donald MacDonald from EIC (CSS) Munich here - DTN:773-3342. My question: It concerns the VT340 and the possibility of modifying it to provide ANSI colour standard for text (allows e.g. each individual character to be displayed with a different colour & script type). We want to prepare a spec. for this modification and I'm "sending out feeders" to see what work has already been done in this area. (Someone told me I might get lucky with this conference!!) Is anyone aware of any efforts past or present in this direction ? Also I have been informed that it will take 6 weeks to get the ANSI spec. (ANSI 3.64) here in Munich ! - Does anyone know where I could get it quicker (perhaps online) ? (I know that (almost?) the same information is available in the DEC STD 138 but I have been requested to procure the ANSI standard.) Very grateful for any replys, Donald.

2716.1 | Ask in the TERMINALS conference | HANNAH::MESSENGER | Bob Messenger | Fri May 04 1990 13:03 | 9 |
Re: .0 As you suspected, you are asking in the wrong conference. Try HANNAH::TERMINALS (KP7 to select). DECterm (the DECwindows terminal emulator) does support ANSI color text, by the way. -- Bob |
