<-- Menu Manager??? --> I'm not sure if this is the correct conference but here it goes... Situation: Customer has existing applications on a VAXstation. Problem: I'm looking for a front end to the customer's applications. Basically, a menu/forms manager which is EASY to use and QUICKLY implemented. We'll be proposing both an ULTRIX solution and a VMS solution so if you know of anything under either platform, please let me know. Thanks... D. VanD...

What exactly do you mean by front end? Are you looking for a launch pad type capability? Some sort of input data gathering? -=> Jim <=- | |||||

If you want a menu driver then DW is probably not the answer because you'd have to rewrite the whole application to be message based. Take a look at DECforms, FMS, or even Cobol Generator as they won't make you rewrite the rest of the code. On the other hand, if it is just organizing separate executables then fileview and session manager can give some help organizing them into menus. |
