i have a vaxstation 3500 gpx, vms v3.5
about 3-5 times a week my fileview fails with
insufficient dynamic memory
malloc error
at that point i cannot start any new applications, or windows...
if mail is running, the next time new mail comes, mail tells me the new mail
folder is active in another window when it is not, i have to essentially
bring down the entire session mgr and relog in again...
when is this going to be fixed???
if it is a quota problem, i would like to know what to raise. i have been told
there is nothing that can be done. it is getting extremely annoying.

| Have you tried raising WSMAX and VIRTUALPAGECNT sysgen
parameters on your system? You should also ask about this
in the FILEVIEW conference on BULOVA.

| This is a DECwindows MAIL bug and has (apparently) been fixed for DECwindows
V3. I don't know of any workaround in the meantime.

Actually, my workaround is to not use DECwindows MAIL.
