when using paint with VMS 5.3 I do not seem to be able to paste things from the clipboard. The cursor pauses the same length of time it always did before refreshing the screen after a paste request but now nothing gets pasted! does anyone have any ideas ? are other people having the same problem ? P.S. I tried the same thing on another 5.3 system with different drawings and it would not paste either, therefor I basically ruled out any protection or system errors.

Hmm. I have never had a complaint about paste doing nothing before. What are the exact symptoms. Does a select region appear with nothing in it? Does no select region appear at all? If something is selected before attempting the paste, does it remain selected afterwards or does it get de-selected. What kind of system are you running paint on? monochrome, color? VMS, ultrix, risc? I haven't been able to reproduce your problem, so any additional info would be helpful. -Jonathan | |||||

When I paste or copy (VMS V5.3-2/GPX) the new image usually lands on top of something and the outline of the region "turns off" any pixels which are on. Has anyone seen this problem? Its real annoying because you have to go back in with ZOOM and flick the pixels back on... Ed |
