FYI:

VAX/VMS T5.4-4ET

It appears that the "Save Settings" function of DECW$CLOCK does not write 
out a new DECW$CLOCK.DAT as in older versions of VMS.
It does read the file if one exists, as verified with an ALARM ACL, though.

	VMS field test problems should be QARed, or at least discussed in VAXWRK::VMS_FIELD_TESTS. As it happens, this problem has already been discussed there. Steve

	It sounds like you've hit a version limit in sys$login directory and it can't create another version. What do you think? -steve-
