    Does anyone  know how to globally replace the watch cursor with
    a  different  icon,  say  a coffee cup? Someone here in Seattle
    said  they  saw this, but I haven't been able to track down the
    person who did it yet.

    I would think that you would have to modify the font file that
    DECwindows  uses  for  cursors,  decw$cursor, replacing #4 with
    your coffee cup.
    
    Any pointers or info you can give?
