I have searched through this notes conference and the decwindows
examples conference but have come up short of finding the
information I need.
Has anybody ported the MIT X11R3 or R4 Athena Widgets and Xmu to
VMS DECwindows? If so could you please post a pointer. We would
greatly appreciate it!

Well, I have seen some applications running using the R3 widgets on VMS, but I don't know how generic the port is. The software I am thinking of is XRN, the read news software. See conference UFP::XRN | |||||

something for which I take no responsibility. A customer made the generally minor modification to get the R3 stuff working on VMS and posted it to some newgroup or something. Someone in DEC extracted it and made it available, but I don't remember where I saw the announcement of it. I grabbed the stuff at that point; what I got can be found at CVG::SYS$GAMES:[ATHENA_X11.X...] I believe that these changes were sent to Athena, so they may have made it into R4, but I really don't know. | |||||

Read note 740 (I think..) in RDVAX::X. I posted the DECUS
info in there (from USENET) late last year.
