As a new user of DECwindows (from an old user of VWS) I have a question. I was looking around for something that would give me the "Cycle Windows" button that I had under VWS that used the "F5" key. When I am working with just a few (2 or 3) active windows I want to be able to switch between them without having to take my hands off of the keyboard and find the mouse and find the menue bar and... The default use of the mouse makes it take longer to change windows than it does to perform the action I want to do in the window. Does such a thing exist (unsupported or otherwise) for DECwindows? s/rob

For a small fee to your cost center, you can switch to the field-test OSF Motif window manager, which gives you this functionality built in. I also find it to be a bit more flexible all around. The SUBWAY""::MOTIF conference for more info. |
