2421.0. "priv violation with create/term" by BOSEPM::BULKA (nick bulka) Fri Mar 09 1990 14:13

When I do a CREATE/TERMINAL/DETACHED/LOGGED_IN,  I get a DECterm,  but it
doesn't log me in. The terminal where I issue the command from displays a
privilege violation message. Can anyone suggest what file might be protected
against me that would prevent me from getting automatically logged in?

thanks,

  Could it be a problem with /DETACH ? I'm not sure how this is implemented
but maybe you need DETACH priv ??

2421.3Ignore the LAT error messageSTAR::VATNEPeter Vatne, VMS DevelopmentWed Jul 11 1990 19:149
This was cross-posted in the DECterm conference.

You can safely ignore the error message about attaching the LAT transport.
This has nothing to do with DECterm, which uses either the local or DECnet
transport to display on the X server.

The X server mistakenly tries to attach to the LAT transport by default.
However, this is a harmless mistake. The only thing that uses the LAT
tranport interface is the VT1000.
