Yes, to run an X/UWS applications on a DECsystem xxxx, you will
have to install UWS subsets on the DECsystem host.
>ULTRIX operating system does not include X library, right?
For a DECsystem, no. But there is a distribution for loading
UWS subsets to a DECsystem.
You will need to order " ULTRIX WS V2.0 (RISC)" SUPPORTED BASE"
"AQ-NC14A-BE" . Please pay careful attention to the exact spellings.
If you want UWS WS 2.1 or 2.2, let the SDC people know about it.
Another caution - Do not use the UWS 2.1 and 2.2 upgrades on
a DECsystem without reading the release notes carefully.
The ULTRIX documentation, patches, and other info is on node GURU.
I just did a random directory listing, and I came up with the
following.
csh> dls -l guru::uws/v2.2D/doc/SSB
Directory GURU::/usr/guest/uws/v2.2D/doc/SSB/
