2403.0. "My screen background color changes... to YELLOW!" by CHE::VISCAROLA (Peter Viscarola) Wed Mar 07 1990 16:19
I've looked back to note number 1600.0 in this conference and
didn't see this question asked, so here goes:
I'm running a VAXstation 3100 model 48, color monitor, with ootb VMS V5.3
and DECwindows installed (from the SDC tape).
Every once in a while, when I start up a new application (like NOTES, for
example) the background color and pattern on my screen change. I've got
the color customized to a dark blue. I start NOTES (which does define
several color selections in my sys$login:notes$defaults.dat, like
DECW$Notes*BorderColor: #ffcc00). The background color and pattern of
my screen change. The color changes to YELLOW (yuck!).
The same thing has happened when selecting the "customize pointer" item
in the session manager (my pointer foreground is yellow, and so was my
screen background).
What happens? How can I make it stop? Is it something I said?
