    I find that when I Quit out of a DECwindows session on my system that
    the Login box doesn't re-appear. Are there any log files that I can
    look at to find out what has failed ?
    
    Can someone describe what actually causes the Login box to get
    restarted under normal circumstances ?

	Are you running DECwindows V2? I used to see this a lot under V1. See note 431.5 for a description of how the login process works. See note 743.* for a discussion of the V1 problem. Tim
