    Hi,
    
    I changed VIRTUALPAGECNT and WSMAX on a VS3100 M38 running VMS 5.3 
    and ran AUTOGEN.  After I rebooted, when I run @STARTNET, the
    DECWINDOWS screen goes away and the system goes down. 
    
    Are there minimum settings for sysgen parameters for DECwindows to
    run ?  What parameters have to be specified in MODPARAMS.DAT for
    DECwindows to run smoothly?

Could you be more specific what you mean by "the system goes down?"
Does the system crash?  If so, what kind of crash was it?  Also, please
post the contents of SYS$MANAGER:DECW$SERVER_0_ERROR.LOG.  Thanks.

    It's okay now, I returned my old parameters back and just changed the
    value of VIRTUALPAGECNT and WSMAX. Did not run Autogen anymore.
    It's running smoothly.
