A customer is trying to display XFrame (FrameMaker X Version) from a Sun 4/260 on his DS3100. When the editing page is displayed all the characters are trashed. They appear similar to a stippled character but much more fragmented. If the document is edited then the line(s) that were modified will appear correctly. If a popup menu is displayed on top of text, when it is removed the text under is trashed. Some of the tool menus also display these characteristics. Has anybody tried this configuration? Had any similar problem with X interoperability? Sun 4/260 => DS3100 XFrame 1.3 Ultrix 3.0 UWS 2.0

Is framemaker trying to use backing store? Edit /etc/ttys and add -bs after the Xcfb or Xmfb. Kill the server and restart. | |||||
