Is there a way to manipulate a part of a simple text widget? i.e. Have just a word in the middle of the widget a different font/color than the rest of the text? just wondering... $$$$ ted $$$$

No, but the VList widget has that functionality. Since VList is not a TextEdit widget like SText is, it does not let the user edit the text directly. The compound string text widget allows a string to contain text in multiple fonts, but not multiple colors. Leo |
