2291.0. "Shadow problem" by THRILL::NELSON () Fri Feb 16 1990 14:07

I have been having trouble getting a the shadow on a push button.
My understanding is that the shadow attribute is set by default. It
doesn't make any difference whether I set it or not; I don't get the
shadow.

I looked around to see if there was something overriding the value;
apparently not.

What am I missing?

Using C, UIL on VMS 5.3.

						Thanks,  Mike

	If it's a child of a menu widget, the menu turns off the
	shadow. There's no direct way to prevent this.

    In V1, there wasn't. In V2, you can set the menu's DwtNchangeVisAtts
    to false, and the menu won't change the visual attributes of its
    children.
