2289.0. "Why no PCB's available?" by BOSTON::SCHLESS () Fri Feb 16 1990 12:54
I've just switched from UIS to windows on my poor little
2000 (with 6 megs), and I'm having a problem bringing
up more than one vterm window. I get the message "no
PCB (process control block, I presume) available. Error
creating process". I also have super crappy response
time, compared to UIS.
I was in the process of adding a bunch of "front-end" type
software (notes, decforms, vtx, etc) so I could uswe the
2000 as a front end demo machine to a backend 3100 running
ACMS, and Rdb, but I'm not sure it can take it. Anyone
know of a parameter I've missed, or something I've installed
wrong? I'm on VMS 5.2.
Please respond through E-mail to TPBOS::BEAU (I can't
run notes on this node, as I can't get a process up).
If the node isn't on your list, the address is 36392.
