I have in my office a VAXstation 3100. I am trying to initialize
my RX23 diskette drive but for some reason when I try to make the
command INIT DRIVE$NAME: LABEL it comes back saying :
%INIT-FORMAT, invalid media format
Have anyone have this problem..??? Any suggestions of the problem
are welcome..Thanks in advance...
Saludos,
Manuel

You must format them. INIT/DENSITY=DOUBLE DUA2: label Any other questions, refer to the TURRIS::MICROVAX conference. It has been discussed in there. Jeff | |||||

Just an information.
If you're under VMS 5.2, you need the privilege VOLPRO in order
to format the diskette with the command in .-1
With VMS 5.3, this restriction is fixed.
