2198.0. "capture DECwindows screen in file?" by CLARID::HOFSTEE (if it's not in a window, forget it!) Mon Feb 05 1990 04:09

    Is there a simple method to capture ANY DECwindows screen into a file,
    so that it can be used in documentation, or do we have to redraw
    all screens with some paint package?

    Thanks

UTOX is a CUP-supported tool which will do what you want. See the
CLOSET::UTOX conference for more details.

Decwrite also has the capability to link to external files (image and otherwise)

  Please. Remember that it should be written "DECwrite", pronounced "DECwrite"
and signed "DECwrite".

  DECwrite can link to DDIF images and Encapsulated PostScript Files as well as
some other stuff, but it cannot create the images or the PostScript itself. See
also the DECwrite conference QUEEN::DECWRITE.
