| It is a switch setting on the SPX module. You select either density (actually
the oscillator) and the system will load the proper timing values for
a monitor of the corresponding density.

Probably. But, considering that this should only be changed if you switch to
a different TYPE OF monitor, that should not be a big deal.

| The SPX module is customer installable on the model 38 and 48.
To get at the switch you must remove the system cover, but you need not remove
the disk plate on most systems. The switch peeks thru a hole on the left side
of the disk drive plate.
