2144.0. "KEYPAK info needed" by SEAFAN::TATE (HARRY) Thu Jan 25 1990 17:16

Can anyone give me any information on a product called KEYPAK.
It apparently is a product similar to the CDA Converter Library.

Any info would be greatly appreciated including names of people
who might be able to help.

I'm trying to convert a MAC MS-WORD document to DDIF for use in
DECwrite without losing markup info during the conversion any someone
suggested that KEYPAK may have an MS-WORD to DDIF conveter.

Also if anyone knows of another way to do this without loss of markup
    information please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Harry

      PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

KEYpak delivers quality, bi-directional VAX-based document interchange using
an extensive library of conversion software that support both standard
interchange formats and the most popular VMS-based, PC-based,
Macintosh-based, UNIX-based and communicating word processing systems
  including:

o ASCII text o NBI Net Archive
        o COM.FILE (Keyword's KSIF) o OfficeWriter
o Convergent Technologies DEF o PostScript Writer (target)
        o CPT Comm. Format o Q-ONE
o DECwrite (DDIF - in development) o SAMNA
o IBM DCA (FFT) o Uniplex II Plus
o IBM DCA (RFT) o Wang (OIS & VS)
        o IBM DisplayWrite III/IV o Wang PC
o Line Printer (target) o Wang WITA
        o MASS-11 o WORD ERA

Although KEYpak functions as a stand-alone VAX/VMS application, it can also
be smoothly integrated with ALL-IN-1 and ALL-IN-1 mail through an optional
application - KEYpak+1. KEYpak+1 is an ALL-IN-1 User Interface that
integrates KEYpak Document Interchange software and the file transfer
process with the ALL-IN-1 Office System. By integrating KEYpak's
  bi-directional document interchange software with ALL-IN-1, KEYpak+1
simplifies the Editable Document Exchange (EDE) process in a multi-vendor,
word processing system environment. Documents can be edited "off-line" on
personal computers. By connecting to a VAX with ALL-IN-1 and KEYpak+1,
these "off-line" documents can be mailed with ALL-IN-1 mail in editable form
to other users whose personal computers or VT terminals are also connected
  to ALL-IN-1.
