2066.0. "XGetImage() Problem." by WPOMM2::ZAMBOTTI () Thu Jan 18 1990 02:20
Hi again,
re: 2065.0
I am having a problem using the XGetImage() function. Whenever I use it my
machine goes to sleep for about 70 seconds and then continues normally. The
function returns the correct information but ties the whole machine up.
When I call XGetImage() within that 70 second period I cannot use my PMAX
for anything. I cannot select another window, raise or lower a window or
even type within the in-focus window. Absolutely nothing works.
I have given XGetImage() a new name :
SingleUserSingleTaskSleep()
I'm not joking!
I can't believe the XGetImage() is that slow because XPutImage() takes only
a fraction of a second to puit back the image I just got and it works
correctly as well.
For a code example see 2065.0 & .1
What gives here?
