Is there any limitation on allocating private color maps, or using direct colors, when using the PC DECwindows server ? We have an application which crashes with errors while trying to allocate a private color map. The same application runs well when the PC is set up as B & W. It also runs well on any workstation. I suspect it has something to do with using direct colors. Thanks, Ori

PC DECwindows only supports fixed color (and then only 16 colors). Therefore, when the client application attempts to create a colormap, the server will reply with a "bad match" error. Mike |
