When using DECTerm windows,, the arrow keys on the aux keypad,
    move the mouse, and line editing, is not availabl?

Re: .0

It sounds like you typed control-F3 by mistake: the Wait LED lights up and
the arrow keys move the mouse cursor instead of being sent to DECterm. Type
control-F3 again to toggle back to the normal arrow key mode.

   Now if we can only get people to do a "DIR/TITLE=" first.

I agree with .3, and had that reaction when I first read it, but what they h**l
do you search for with a problem like this?

Re: .4

How about DIR/TITLE="arrorw"?

Well, a dir/tit=mouse/all yielded the following likely suspects, but it took
a powerfull long time to do it. Points up some of the shortcomings of the
notes program...

  1879     RDF::RDF          10-DEC-1989     2  arrow keys now move mouse..
  1708  DEALER::WESTMORELAND  9-NOV-1989     1  Mouse buttons go dead!
  1674   PILOU::MOSER         6-NOV-1989     1  Mouse position doesn't work under VMS

2013.7Maybe a frying-pan type hint would help? :-) :-)VMSDEV::BALLOUIt's not slow, it's careful!Wed Jan 10 1990 15:5218
    May I offer a suggestion?

    There seems to be a handful of questions that keep coming up; let's
    call them "common problems." Now, admittedly, some people might not
    bother with looking at a directory first. However, as Bob points out,
    it took him "a powerful long time" (I like that! :-) to find pointers,
    and he looked for the word "mouse." Also, geographically, he is not
    far from the notes file.

    Perhaps we could have one note, say, the "Common Problems" note, to
    which the replies could be a statement of the common problems and the
    solutions. We could have a keyword "Common Problems" pointing to the
    note, and maybe even put a reference to the note in the greeting banner
    one sees when opening the conference.

    Just a thought ...
