1957.0. "DECwindows and VT1000" by STKHLM::AMARTENSSON () Thu Dec 21 1989 09:47

    I have a couple of customers who have heard rumours about the new
    DECwindows-terminal, VT1000, and are very intrested in using thoose
    instead of DECwindows-workstations. Is there anyone who have any ideas
    about how to configure a server for X VT1000. What do they need of
    CPU- and memory resources?, Yes, I know that it depends a lot on
    the application but I would very much appreciate if I could get some
    Rules of Thumb (for instance if you want to use DECdecision and
    DECwrite)

It would be difficult if not inappropriate to provide configuration information
for unannounced products without the cooperation of the appropriate
product manager. It would also be inappropriate to even confirm to the
customer that such a product exists (and, until announcement, it doesn't).

I don't know who the appropriate product manager is, but I'll try to find
out.

    Is there a notesfile dedicated to discussion of the VT1000? I have
    looked in the terminals notefiles and found no references there.

Re: .5

Contact the product manager as referred to in reply .2. Customer questions
about unannounced products are not appropriate here.
