ok mcr decwrite aip-project-plan XIO: non-translatable vms error code: 0x2DBA002, vms message: %decw-e-cnxabort, connection aborted %XLIB-F-IOERROR, xlib io error ok I keep getting the above DECwindows error during a journal file recovery with DECwrite V1.0. Could someone tell me how to recover this file?? It craps out after only recovering about 50% of the file. I will post the .djl file in the reply to this note. Let me know if you have any better luck recovering the file. This is a real bummer for me, because I am under tight schedules to produce this document and I put in several hours of work to get it to where it is now and I will probably have to practically start over!! Could someone who supports DECwindows recover this file or tell me what I can do in this case?? Please send any mail directly to me at DUGGAN::LYSAKOWSKI Thanks Rich

1933.2 | it's in the release notes | SARAH::WOLFE | That's a 511 ma'm. Failing to yield to good taste | Mon Dec 18 1989 12:15 | 5 |
There are several notes in this conference explaining xlib io errors and workarounds. Also look in the DECwrite release notes (sys$help:decwrite010.release_notes). Pete
1933.3 | problem solved | DUGGAN::LYSAKOWSKI | Mon Dec 18 1989 19:28 | 5
The comment made in the DECwrite conference about not letting the mouse pointer enter the DECwrite window solved the problem with the journaling not recovering. Thanks a bunch. |
