I tried to execute an X11 demo(xeyes) on a SUN 3/60 with MITX11R3 and display it on DS3100 with UWS 2.0. I think the network(telnet) is ok since they could login to each other. I type the command on SUN "setenv DISPLAY tpact8:0" and then execute the demo. But nothing happen. Not even an error message. When I tried to execute an X11 demo, eg. xfish, on DS3100 and display on SUN by typing "xfish -display sinica2:0", the error message is something like "Xtoolkit error...". anything suggestion? BTW. the node name has been put into the /etc/x0.host on each node.

SunOS 4.0.1, X11R3. Have you given the Sun 'access' to the DECstation? On the DECstation, % xhost 'Sun_node' <return> On the Sun, % xeyes -dispaly 'DEC_node:0.0' Kris.. |
