1844.0. "CTRL/Y causes an application to abort." by EWBV04::NAGANO (Yuji Nagano , CSC/Tokyo) Tue Dec 05 1989 02:26

	I have a problem about aborting an application caused by typing CTRL/Y.

	When I move an application window while the application is interuppted
	by CTRL/Y, the application window is hangs and then disappears.
        And, continueing the application with CONTINUE command causes the
	application abort with error code "0x2dba002"(connection abort).

	I know the debugger DBG breakpoint problem.
	While the application is paused at a DBG breakpoint, accumlating
	X events causes the application to abort.

	Is this a same problem ?

    I concur with Fred. The DECwindows transport buffers are overflowing,
    first on the client side, and then on the server side. When the
    server's buffers overflow, it attempts a blocking write, but this times
    out after N seconds (I think N is currently 30). When the time out
    occurs, the server kills the connection.
