1831.0. "Problem with 3520 and 02DB821C error" by RBW::WICKERT (MAA USIS Consultant) Fri Dec 01 1989 13:25
I'm trying to add a new VAXstation 3520 to an existing cluster running
VMS V5.1-1. I replaced an existing VAXstation 3200 root and it booted
just fine. Now I'm running into problems where the screen hangs and the
session manager aborts with the ever famous 02DB821C in the log file.
I'd restart DECwindows but 3 processes become hung in RWMBX state when
this happens and DECwindows won't restart. I'm forced to reboot the
system, which, todate, always crashes one of the other nodes in the
cluster; but that's another problem...
I'm using LOCAL transport so a DECnet logical link isn't in the loop.
There are plenty of free global sections and pages. My goal is to get
V5.2, and then V5.3, installed ASAP but it's tough to do it quickly on
a 28 node cluster.
Any suggestions? Things to look for that a Firefox is more sensitive to
than a GPX?
Thanks,
Ray
