| Setting the OverrideRedirect window manager hints bit will do this, but it also
does a lot of other things, so it might not be what you want.

1781.2 | DwtNnoIconify True on the shell | CALL::SWEENEY | Strike up the bandwidth | Sun Nov 26 1989 17:19 | 12 |
| Set DwtNnoIconify to True at the time you create the toplevel shell.
(you are using the XUI toolkit aren't you?)
Some people describe applications that remove window manager functions
like the window borders and the iconify decoration as being
"anti-social", so as a application designer you ought to have more than
a mere whim for this. As a curious person who's just helped you, I'd
like to know what you have against the iconify function?
By the way, OverrideRedirect will give you a borderless, unmovable,
unobscurable window, before you use that shell be sure that's what you
want.

| If the many notes in this conference that ask how to a) prevent iconification,
b) prevent resizing, or c) prevent the user from making the screen look like
he wants it to look in some other way is any indication, we all had better
prepare to get 15 more heads for our workstations so that we have enough
screen geography to work.
