| I think we have all been sort of tolerant of this sort of request
because of the current push to close business (of which I
am totally in favor!).
However, there should be channels to make this kind of request. The
intent of this conference is technical discussions, not requests for
visits and consultations. Can we please hold it down from now on?
So far as I know, this kind of request should go through the product
manager, who is currently Paul Steeves for VMS.
Thanks for your cooperation...

Burns,
I understand your concern...but I believer the base noter is
actually looking for technical info. The title of the base
note is really the problem.
If you read the base note carefully, you will note the following.
>interested in discussing the performance and cost implications
>of various configurations of x-servers/clients/terminals,
>and in particular their impact on the network.
I believe the there is enuff technical inquiry to start a
debate. Maybe, the title of the base note need be adjusted to
reflect the intent of the inquiry.

| There is a channel for this. The corporate visit specialist assigned
to the visit will make the inquiries after receipt of the visit request
package. Of course, that assumes that a request is filed... 8')
