Hello there...
A question regarding the Bookreader and on-line doc's
on CDROM:
Is it possible to read documentation of a layered product,
without the specific PAK ?

Johan,
You can try the following (text is from "Cover Letter for VMS Online
Documentation Library"):
"...to access the online documentation for unregistered products
, you must run the command procedure BOOKBROWSER.COM, which is
on this compact disc. BOOKBROWSER.COM registers the Bookbrowser
PAK on your system and loads the appropriate information into
your system's software license database."
To do this, just mount the disc, then enter:
$ @device-name:[DECW$BOOK]BOOKBROWSER.COM
The book that I got this from should come with the Online Documentation
disc. I'm assuming this is the disc that you're talking about.
It also goes on to describe loading Bookbrowser on a cluster,
etc.
Hope this helps.
