1683.0. "How to get a REGIS file?" by LATINA::BEGONA (Begoa Sanz, SW SUPPORT-Madrid, Spain) Tue Nov 07 1989 05:32

    Hello,

I have a customer with DECwindows and a LJ250 and he wants a color
printscreen. He pretends to get a REGIS file and then to convert
    it to SIXEL with RETOS.
His problem is that he defines the logical name
DECW$PRINTER_FORMAT_REGIS like "SYS$NULL" (like installation manual)
but REGIS doesn't appear in the print format list box.

    Anyone knows why happen?
    Thanks in advance

The user can control the contents of the Printers list box via the logicals,
but the *application* controls the contents of the Print Format list box.
Apparently, the application he's invoking has elected not to provide ReGIS
as an option.

1683.2with session manager printscreenLATINA::BEGONABegoa Sanz, SW SUPPORT-Madrid, SpainWed Nov 08 1989 05:138
My customer is checking with session manager printscreen because
he wants a color hardcopy on LJ250. He has RETOS and thought to
get the hardcopy via a ReGIS file.

Is he wrong or is it possible? I'm starting with DECwindows and
    I haven't clear it.

Session manager printscreen should work to an LJ250 printer with
    VMS DECwindows V5.3.
