My application creates several modal dialog boxes in a callback. These are created in the same place on the screen. Does the toolkit guarantee anything about the stacking order in which they will appear? JOhn

The Intrinsics in R4 will specify the order that windows are created in (which specifies the stacking order), and it's the same as R3 behaviour. So, I guess that's as good a "guarantee" as you'll get. If it works today the way you want it, it should continue to work that way. Leo

... for XUI, that is. Motif modal dialog boxes are "window-managed", so the dialog boxes will no longer be "siblings". The stacking order will then be the order the boxes are "managed" in. Leo
