Is there some way to move the "Start Session" box (the one that
comes up at login time and requests the username / password)

I'am using the DECW$LOGIN_BACKGROUND to display a nice colour
picture at login time (instead of the DIGITAL logo)... but
the "Start Session" box sits right in the center of the screen.. 
thus covering the center of the picture

is there a way to move it ?

	I checked with the developer about this. The word is no. You can't change the position. Guess you need to find a picture with a hole in it :-)
