I have a question about the FT saveset (note 1470).
I noticed a problem during the DECGKS 4.0 IVP. I entered the problem
in the gks notes file. Here's the dialog:

Hello,
I have read all the previous notes about the IVP for DECGKS 04.0
failing and have been able to get the IVP to work (somewhat?).
The thing that helped the most was to define the
GKS$WSTYPE %X010000D3. An error is generated very soon after
starting the IVP from a DECTERM window.
X Toolkit Warning: Widget class Compressed_motion_window version
mismatch: widget 7001 vs. intrinsics 11003
What does this mean?
After this error is generated the GKS icon shows up. The spirals are
displayed. The IVP delays and then crashes on exit.
Has anyone seen the same thing? Any ideas to allow the IVP to run and
not display any errors?

VAXstation 2000
VMS 5.2
DECWindows 2.0
DECGKS 4.0

The problem is your version of DECwindows. Late in DECwindows
V2.0 field test, they broke something. You might also be
getting an ACCVIO on GKS$CLOSE_WS.
Supposedly both problems were to be fixed for SSB V2.0 of
DECwindows. What are you running?

Now, does the saveset mentioned in 1470 contain the most current
DECwindows 2.0? Is the problem mentioned in the reply fixed in
that saveset? Is there a workaround?
When will the SSB saveset be available?
I installed the 1470 saveset and still have the problem.
Does anyone have any info? Is there anyone to contact to get
the SSB version of DECwindows? It's due out soon, isn't it?

There was a DECwindows problem that caused the GKS IVP to ACCVIO
during image rundown. It was broken in the kit announced in note
1470 and fixed in the SSB kit. The VMS V5.3 kit should be announced
shortly, sorry I don't know the particulars.
However, if you are seeing an "X Toolkit Warning: widget version
mismatch" then this is not a DECwindows problem but rather a GKS
problem.
