I will discuss DECwindows with a customer who is very concerned
by the low performance of the current DECwindows version.
I would need some statistics about the performance of V2.
Anyone has any idea where I can get it ?

Are they REALLY concerned with DIGITAL's implementation performance
statistics, or are they concerned with X11 performance?
Are they using a LAN or WAN, X25 or sattelite?, etc.
Many customers will see DECwindows as slow when they are using WAN
lines. It's not DECwindows, it's X11 and there lines...
What are they ACTUALLY SAYING?

This customer uses mostly applications distributet over a LAN.
V2 offers obviously a number of new features but is it
to be regarded as a general performance release as well ?
I have seen no figures on this subject.
