A customer has written a composite widget and can't get a subclass of it to establish a new resource. He gets an error saying he can't override, but the new resource has nothing to do with the composite's resources. I know this is a pretty vague problem statement, but since we're ignorant of widget building out here in support land it's the best I can do. He'd also like to see an example of subclassing off a composite widget if anyone has one they could send me. Bruce

Since another note states that building widgets is so fundamental to X proficiency isn't there anyone who can take a stab at this? Bruce (Kind of like ED Services -- only enough time to get cost effective, not really know it!) | |||||

>>Since another note states that building widgets is so fundamental to X >>proficiency isn't there anyone who can take a stab at this? :) Are you trying to rattle my chain? For a simple example of a composite widget, look in DW_EXAMPLES note 148 at the VFrame widget sources. On the other hand, a more directed question is likely to get a more directed answer. I can't guess what they're doing wrong without more information. -steve- |
