With the UWS 2.0/2.1 distribution for the DECstation 3100 the following
is provided:
ls /usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen100/font*
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen100/fonts.alias
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen100/fonts.dir
ls /usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen75/font*
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen75/fonts.alias
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/decwin/screen75/fonts.dir
/usr/bin/mkfontdir
But on any VAX UWS 2.0/2.1 distribution the above files do not exist.
Since the fonts.dir file serves as a database for the X server how does
decwindows on the VAX handle font files and their associated names?
