    While attempting to run decw$terminal I got an error message telling
    me to use the DwtDECtermPort() routine.  Where is the documentation
    on this routine?

It's note 289.

In DECwindows V2 you'll find it easier to use the CREATE/TERMINAL command.
In V1 you should check out CHILD (see note 111 in this conference).
