I've just installed DECwindows V2.0 FT1 on my VS3100 and also on our VAXcluster.
It looks great except the following detail:
When I run FileView from the station, it gives all the options in the menu bar
such as "Control", "Customize" and so on. The same if I run it on a
microVAX 3600 we also have as a boot member for satellite stations.
When I run it on either node of the VAXcluster, I get none of the "Control"
options in the menu bar so I CAN'T EXIT FILEVIEW !! neither I can customize it
or anything like this.
Is there an explanation for this.
Both systems (VS and VAXcluster) are running VMS V5.2
Please note that I tried all ways to run VUE$MASTER in the VAxcluster:
[] $ RUN SYS$SYSTEM:VUE$MASTER
[] $ MCR VUE$MASTER
[] executing a DECnet object using:
$ OPEN SYS$NET NODE"username password"::"TASK=DECW$VUE"
run in batch mode from my station after being declared on the VAXcluster
as a known object.
No way !!!
