Hi
I am the proud owner of a 3100 and an LJ250 Color printer attached
to it. I would like to do a "print Screen" to the printer, using
DECWindows..Chapter 6 and 7 did not help in my doing so....
Does my system manager have to put this printer onto a DECserver and
create a printer queue for this LJ250? Or is there an easier way?
Thanks a lot
Dick

I believe you got no answer because your questions sound like a joke.
Yes you need to have your printer connected to your system. Either
you are in a LAVC (Local Area Vax Cluster) and your 3100 boots from
the host, and the printer should be connected to it and a printer
queue set up on this system, or you are in a stand-alone configuration
and it should be connected on a TTxx terminal port (and a printer
queue created as well).
Then you use the SESSION MANAGER window, ask in the PRINT menu the
print feature you want executed (start with a "portion of screen"),
then you will enter a SETUP menu where you will have to select the
appropriate settings for your color (?) printer, ask for 1 copy,
validate and wait for something to happen.
(you're welcome)
