1321.0. "BOOKreader files deleted by V2 FT1 installation" by MNATUR::LISTON () Tue Aug 22 1989 11:11
I just upgraded my VAXstation II/GPX from T5.2-1 and V1 of DW to
V2 FT1 of DW. In doing so the installation blew away the online
documentation files I had placed in the directory pointed to by
the DECW$BOOK logical. I placed a couple of the frequently referenced
manuals there. It also replaced the LIBRARY.DECW$BOOKSHELF
file. Is this something I should QAR or am I just not reading the
right FM. I didn't see any reference to this side effect in the
release notes nor am I aware of any restrictions on placing files in
this directory. The installation procedure executes a INSTALL_APPS.COM
which goes out and deletes everything in DECW$BOOK if it finds any
files in the directory.
Thanks,
Kevin
