VAXpc is a 286 emulator which runs MS-DOS under VMS. Some, but not all
applications will work. SEL or KP7 to add MOSAIC::VAXPC conference.

    re: What is X.DOS

I believe this is a product from Hunter Systems. At Motorola, where I
used to work, it ran under UNIX to allow certain PC applications to be
ported to that platform. The unique thing about it was that it didn't
do emulation, but provided the ability to convert the application to a
binary image that would execute directly under UNIX. What it provided
was a key file - but only for a few of the most popular PC applications
; about 6 at the time.

    The advantage was performance.
