I am a writer in the VMS DECwindows group and I am writing the Guide to Xlib Programming: MIT C Binding and VAX Binding. The VAX Binding of the Guide contains examples in FORTRAN. Currently, the Field Test version of the Guide is being released with many FORTRAN examples omitted - examples that the C version contains. What I need is someone to convert C to FORTRAN. There are probably 9 or 10 C examples. A deadline for getting these conversions completed is August 11 and I would need as many as possible before that to integrate them into text. We have tried several other avenues to get this done without success. If we are unable to get the conversions, we will have to release the Vax Binding version of the Guide without the new chapters and information. I am posting this note in several other conferences. Thanks, Jim

Can you use examples in any other languages, like Ada ?? I could possibly help out there. -=> Jim <=- | |||||

Thanks alot for the offer, but the format of the Vax Binding of the Guide provides examples in FORTRAN. We couldn't really change to Ada unless we changed all the examples throughout the book, or added a complete set of Ada examples. Thanks, -jim |
